Top 5 iOS Air Travel Apps in Latin America: Q1 2021 Performance

The first quarter of 2021 has shown varied performance among the top iOS air travel apps in Latin America. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a closer look at the trends in downloads and weekly active users across these platforms.

The Volaris app displayed a fluctuating download pattern, starting with around 6.8K in the last week of December 2020 and peaking at approximately 12.3K in early March before descending to roughly 8.5K by the end of March. Weekly active users began at around 16.2K and experienced a climb, reaching a zenith of 24K in the second week of March, followed by a decline to close to 19K by the end of the month.

LATAM experienced a downward trend in downloads, kicking off with over 10K and gradually falling to just under 5K by the end of Q1. Weekly active users started robust at approximately 61.6K but saw a steady decrease, finishing at about 46.3K.

Aeromexico showed a similar trend to Volaris in downloads, with an initial 5.5K that rose to around 8.1K in early March, then dipped to nearly 6.9K. Its active users echoed this pattern, starting at roughly 16.3K, peaking at 21K, and then dropping to about 19.7K.

Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker saw its downloads remain relatively stable, with a slight peak at 4.8K in early February, but ended the quarter with around 3.7K. Revenue trended downwards from $3.8K to $3K, while weekly active users showed an upward trend in the last two weeks of March, reaching close to 38.6K from an initial 35.8K.

Lastly, LATAM Airlines had a steady performance in downloads, with a notable jump to 3.9K in late February but a fall to about 2.3K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users saw a gradual increase from approximately 4.9K to a peak of 8.9K before a slight decrease to around 8.3K.
